Polyester filter cartridge

Polyester filter cartridges are highly hydrophilic and therefore ideal for filtering liquids with high surface tension, such as most aqueous solutions or dispersions.

In aqueous dispersions, the hydrophilic properties of polyester fibers facilitate the passage of particles smaller than the defined filtration limit. This is in stark contrast to hydrophobic polypropylene fibers.

Chemical and temperature resistance of polyester fibers

Polyester (PBT) filters provide excellent chemical resistance to a wide range of chemicals, including:

Dilute acids
Alcohols
Aromatic hydrocarbons
Ketones
Organic solvents
Oils and greases

Examples of compatible chemicals: benzene, cyclohexane, DMF, ethyl acetate, hexane, MEK.

Polyester (PBT) filter cartridges are resistant to temperatures up to 120°C.
